We worship at All Saints Episcopal Church, Stafford, which is strategically located right across the Dulles elementary, middle and high school? A good percent of the student body consists of children of third generation Indians who live in Stafford and adjacent cities. Making the presence of the Good Shepherd community known to those parents and children creates opportunity to explore connections and fellowship.
Cultural Connection Ministry We are next-door neighbors to apartment complexes in Stafford. These apartments are the entry point for most of the new immigrants from India. Good Shepherd makes our presence known to them and is available for them to provide a cultural and spiritual presence, which may make their transition less stressful.
Young Family Fellowship We reach out to young professionals to facilitate fellowship time for recreation and relax. This create a platform to share common burdens that and typical for families of professionals. Children’s Ministry Good Shepherd celebrates the presence of children in the congregation. It has great pride in our children when their presence is made known through intentional efforts by standing with the priest when the Gospel is read. Children look forward for this time every Sunday.
There are regular Sunday school classes conducted every Sunday for children. Children love their time in the Sunday school and they feel at home in the church environment. This is an opportunity for the parents to envision a spiritual home for their children as they grow in the knowledge of God and being rooted in tradition.
Youth Ministry Though small in number, our youth take actively participate in the life and work of the congregation.
